Meet the Artist
Namaste! 🙏🏽
I was born into an artistic family in Bombay. My Mum would make
artificial bridal bouquets and other wedding flower arrangements which initiated me into the world of handmade beautiful crafts. My Nana was an Arts and Crafts School teacher for over 30 years and had a major influence in encouraging and supporting me to learn different Art and Craft skills and constantly develop the right side of my brain (Thank you, Nana❤️ I miss you).
As a little kid (maybe 6-7 years old), I remember being so
fascinated with my other Grandmother's Jewelry collection (she had a few metal
chocolate boxes she would re-purpose and store her pendants, earrings and
brooches..mostly earrings). She was kind enough to let me have my moments with
them (mostly earrings) and I would feel like the Queen of the world! That's
when I fell in love with Jewelry :) ❤
My journey with Jewelry started with making basic bead jewelry
back in 2009 for my friends and myself. With the lack of avenues to pursue Metalsmithing
in Mumbai, this passion was kinda benched. I always loved Art and
hence, I took a few courses (mentioned below) to see where else I could fit,
while working other jobs.
My interest in making Jewelry was reborn when I moved to California
and I started to research what I needed to
transfer my design ideas into Metal Jewelry.
I love being Independent just like You and I love working with
Individuals who are Free Spirits.This made us move to
Montreal from LA (Thank You, Vish ❤️) and the Magical journey began where
I started to learn the processes and techniques involved in
making different kinds of jewelry.
Being raised in Mumbai, India, Jewelry is engrained in my
background via culture and life in general (subconsciously). The symbolism of
Jewelry in India transcends deeply into daily life, social/societal status quo,
special events and festivals and even into religion and spirituality.
Having spent more than half of my life in a country
with such a rich heritage has shaped me to be open minded,
appreciative and accepting of the different schools of thought.
This often inspires my creative design process which results in Unique, Bold, High Vibe and Timeless Handcrafted Jewelry.
I'm a Dreamer, Creative and Tenacious spirit with a lot of
interest in Arts, from Interior Design (did a diploma) to Fashion Design (took
a design program) and from Painting (self-taught) to Photography (did a couple
of courses). I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and since 2019, I have been making
my Design Jewelry that brings together a lot of my passions - Design, Creating
and Photography.
I have professionally studied Jewelry techniques
for 3 years at the Montreal School of Jewelry and my time there has taught me that there
is always something to learn in this field and so I continue to learn and add
more techniques to my skill set each day. Designing and Making truly Unique Jewelry from
scratch is my Dream Job. And even though it took me so many years to realize
it, I am so happy and thankful to be able to do what I love! So I would
especially want to Thank each one of you who purchases from my shop and my very
supportive husband, it is because of all of you, that I get a chance to be doing
what makes my soul smile! ❤️

We want to be cognizant of this and also make sure that we provide the absolute best possible Service to our customers. Hence, we send you Loyalty Discounts. We try and include you whenever possible in our design process (through our social media)and always welcome your opinions, thoughts and feedback.
Our mission is To create Powerful and Timeless jewelry that can stay within families, inspiring moments of happiness while weaving significant memories. We DO NOT try to exceed production but rather focus on each piece being given the appropriate love and attention. This also prevents us from burning out and allows our passion to be always on fire.
Every piece is HANDMADE from scratch, no exceptions. Even if we make some of the pieces in wax first they will all have some parts of it made from scratch by hand. We DO NOT use templates and this gives us the Freedom to be Uniquely Artisanal with the design and also allows us to choose any Type or Size of Stone. All of our Jewelry is Unique in their own way and we absolutely DO NOT do cookie cutter designs. So this is not the shop where you will find just a metal piece wrapped or pushed around a stone or just a prong holding the stone in place.
We are very Passionate and take Pride in what we do and hope our Jewelry depicts the dedication and hard work that goes into each piece. Every piece we create has its own journey, from stone selection and design to finding a home. It brings us immense fulfillment when one of our Jewels goes to a home and becomes a beautiful part of someone's life story.
We believe in the power of Humans Helping Each Other and hence we first started supporting the Red Cross, Oceana Canada, Youth Mental Health Canada and I Support the Girls. We have as of the last Quarter of 2022, pledged to Donate 1% or $1 (whichever is greater) from Every Single Order (including shows) to a worthy cause, Bi Annually. As we grow, we will move to quarterly, then monthly and we hope to support more non profit organizations that stand for women empowerment, youth development, mental health, homelessness and ocean conservation.
We RESPECT the environment deeply. Our work involves Metals and Stones which would not exist without Mother Nature and hence we ensure to do whatever we can to be environmentally conscious.
For this effort, we ensure to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle as much as we can.
All of our packaging is made with Sustainable and/or Recycled Materials.
Our Production Life Cycle follows a clean process.
We make sure to avoid any Toxic Chemicals throughout our Jewelry making process from start to finish.

Quick Story-I was in LA, California and was planning to move to Montreal, Canada. Whilst thinking of my Brand Name, I knew I wanted it to be Earthy and Celestial at the same time, so 'Sand and Snow' was perfect! My brand name allows me to encompass all of the eclectic elements from the shores to the skies and everything magical in between.
Sand and Snow Jewelry is all about Bold looking, Timeless and One-Of-A-Kind Jewelry pieces with a vibe that they were found from a Lost Antique Treasure chest at Sea or dug up from a Queen’s Tomb, 1000 's of years ago. The Old World elements in my designs are for those wild souls who are in love with everything Vintage and Timeless.
All the jewelry pieces are made entirely from scratch using ethically sourced Gemstones and recycled Bronze and Recycled Sterling Silver.
Our Purpose is to make each jewelry piece with a design that has the Intention of helping us be the best versions of ourselves. We believe you should wear Unique because you are Unique. We want you to sense your Originality with our jewelry on you. Each jewelry piece is Handmade with a lot of attention to detail and Love.
